Evening news
Sean and I were watching the news the other night when a report came on about pedophiles and Facebook. It was saying how pedophiles create Facebook pages and then link up with other pedophiles and then they post pics of kids on their pages. Really creepy and scary to think about because the report was also saying that they can steal photos of your kids on your Facebook page and post them on their Facebook pages. Of course, you can enhance your privacy settings and by the sound of that, it can resolve any issues BUT this got me thinking.........ANYONE can see my blog and my friends' blogs.....and we post pictures of our children ALL THE TIME. Very scary and disgusting to think of someone stealing pictures of my kids or your kids. Makes me sick to my stomach. So, I wanted to know if this bothers you? Especially my friends like Noelle and Becca.......... Does it scare you? Maybe I am just overreacting? have you ever thought about it? I talked to Sean about it a little bit and he said we needed to pray about it for guidance, but he also said that the pictures will ALWAYS be on the internet from my blog now............So, would love to hear what anyone else thinks about this.

i've thought about it and i tried to keep my kids' names out of my blog but they slide in quite a bit. Anytime i shoot pics of anyone else's kids i always use their first initial only. In my opinion, the blog and facebook is how we share pictures of our children with family and friends...how we stay connected. I think if a pedophile really wanted a photo of my kid, they would drive by and just take a photo. There is no way to really stop it from happening entirely. It's in God's control. So no...it doesn't bother me and Ii have no problem with it...i am however careful to never share too much info about where exactly we live...never shoot the entire front of our house or address on the mailbox, etc etc...

i thought about it and it does bother me... but the way i see it, (as Mrs. B. said... It is in God's control) I know that they can come and take pics if they want... I hope and pray they don't... but I don't want to not share my blog (including pics) with family and friends...
My FB page is FRIENDS ONLY... but blog is different... kinda weird...
But the way I see it, it really is to late now anyways, as the pictures that have been posted are there for forever anyways...
Yah, I love doing my blog. Still disgusts me to think of someone using my precious babies for something awful like that. But the pics are there now no matter what. Of course I don't disclose where I live or take pics of my street address. Pretty sure I would notice a driveby here, since we live on the end of a dead end street! lol Definitely it keeps me connected wit friends and family and like I sound I enjoy doing it. :) And yes, it's all in God's hands, however, God speaks to you and your heart......as long as we are being obedient to Him.
