Daddy Daughter Date

Sean surprised Hailey and took her to the Chik-Fil-A Daddy Daughter Summer Masquerade at a hotel in downtown Knoxville on Friday night.  I got her dressed up and did her hair and painted her toes and off they went!  They both loved it.  There was food, music, dancing, and of course cows!  lol  She got a special necklace with a charm (a mask for the masquerade) in it.  They also went to Starbucks on their way home.  She came inside when they got home and announced that she had "just married Daddy" and that they were at their wedding! lol

I Love You Day Party! 3rd Annual?

We are starting to collect a pretty good amount of decor for our I Love You Day parties, but we did still go to Hobby Lobby so I could pick up a couple of things.  And bonus, it was after V Day, so everything was 66% off!  I got a bunch of dog making things, paper airplane makers, some more decorations, and some girly stuff like bows and bracelets for my little girls.

We made Devil Dogs.  And ode to the hubby :)  http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/devil-dogs/

This year, the kids got Chik-Fil-A (because that was their vote) and we got Chinese takeout.

Let the party begin!

And the after pictures!  lol

And I just wanted to mention that Sean and I are rejoicing!  Since deployment, oohhhh about 11 years ago, I have built up a pretty good wall to protect myself from being hurt/left again.  I have tried to let go of it MANY times, but have not succeeded.  And by no means has our marriage been bad, but there has always been that wedge because I have been unable to give myself completely to my man.  Until now.  I am thanking God.  I don't know how it happened, but it did and we are both so excited.  And acting like newlyweds lol.  It's probably gross.  HA HA.  It was something from our anniversary last weekend.  I wanted to feel sorrow at first because it has taken so long, but we are too happy rejoicing.  And I wanted to feel bad and ask why Sean stuck by me all these years being the steady man that he is, but I will just be thankful.  Thank you!

Covenant Kids Run

Ryan has expressed interest as of late in running.  Not like he ISN'T running all the time any way, but when we saw that there was a 1 mile race for kids coming up in downtown Knoxville, we decided to sign him and Hunter up! Me and Sean also participated and pushed Hailey and Andrew in strollers.  It was a teeny bit cold, but nothing to complain about.  Yes, I said cold.  Just when we thought spring was here!  It is nice to see green grass again though.  And budding trees.  Off subject.  The boys did great.  They ran the whole mile!
Hanging at the Holiday Inn (where registration was) waiting for the race to start.

Almost time!

Here we go!

Excuse the hand smudges in these pictures.  I couldn't see as  I was taking the pix and now I'm too lazy to edit them because I want to go back upstairs and watch Hallmark movies, drink my coffee, and eat Reece's with the hubby!

We did it!  The race ended on Neyland Stadium's field!

And then we got free Chik-fil-A sandwiches!  Add those calories right back on!  And then some since we also stopped at Starbucks on the way home.  Either way, my legs hurt today!

While We Wait

With the children still being sick, we aren't really going anywhere.  We don't want to get anyone else sick and we don't want them to catch anything else, especially while they are on antibiotics with a lowered resistance.  Also, we are trying to keep Andrew well for his surgery.  But so we don't go totally stir crazy, we took them to the park yesterday and didn't really hang out with any other park patrons.  We decided to go to West Hills Park in Knoxville.  We chose there because it's a quick step down the road from the mall.  I had to go to Godiva to get my free $10 birthday cash!  MMMMMM, Godiva truffles!!!!!!  Evenings just got a little bit better.  Iced coffee.  Godiva.  Hubby.  Hallmark movies.  Comfy bed.  What more could a girl ask for!!???  :)  Any way, it was a really nice park with multiple playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking trails, swimming pools, etc.

We took the kids back to the doctor on Thursday.  Andrew is all good.  Ryan and Hunter had their antibiotics extended, but Ryan's ears looked good, just still coughing.  Hunter still has fluid behind his ears and a runny nose.  Hailey's ears still looked bad and her cough has been really crunchy so the doctor changed her antibiotic to Augmentin.  She said they have had sinus infections.

We haven't been to church in a lllllloooooonnnnngggg time!  We are hoping that after Andrew's surgery this Wednesday we will be able to start back next Sunday.
