Ryan Turns 6!

I can't believe we have a 6-year-old!  Time flies!  Birthday boy wanted grits, toast, a whole apple, and Gatorade for breakfast.  Then he chose to go to this playground!  :)

We played outside at home so Ryan could practice riding his bike without training wheels.

He wanted sweet meatballs, broccoli, mixed veggies, and fries for dinner.

And he wanted an island cake.  :)
Blowing out his candles

This is what happens when each person wants a different part of the cake! And yes we had to use 5 and 7 as his birthday candles.  All we had because we forgot to get some!

2 Mommies + 7

I don't normally take all 4 anywhere by myself (except violin lessons), but I met up with my friend Devon Carrasco and her 3 precious boys for a fun day at the zoo while Sean attended a carry permit class this past Saturday.  The Lord was good to us.....the weather was supposed to be bad, but instead we had sun and a perfect temp.  The zebras still weren't out so that was disappointing, but we had a great day and the kiddos did a great job, too!  On a side note, Sean's grandma passed away last night, so please keep his family in your prayers.

Date Night

Andrea Warren came to watch the kiddos while Sean and I went on date night!  This restaurant was fantastic!  In a home from 1910.  I still have a heart for historic homes.  The beautiful hardwood floors, the door knobs, and the windows.  Just beautiful.  And the food was fabulous!

The restaurant had a gift shop upstairs

And a Christmas room.  :)

And we didn't eat dessert at the restaurant so we could have dessert at Starbucks.  We also found ourselves at the Christian bookstore, a park, getting the car washed, and of all things an auction!

This is from last weekend.  :)

Easter 2015

We didn't get to attend church services today, unfortunately, because we don't want to spread our sicknesses, but we did enjoy a nice day at the house eating a yummy lunch/dinner and taking food to some of my coworkers, and ending the day at a new playground!  Yesterday, the boys did an egg hunt!  Of course, though, we are glorying in the fact that Jesus died and rose from the dead so that we could be saved and have eternal life!!!!

Andrew Neuro Appointment

We had Andrew's neurologist appointment yesterday and it went GREAT!  We are so pleased!!!!  We really liked the doctor and she was really good with the kids.

She basically said that she does NOT recommend doing an MRI and that we could do one if we really wanted to pursue it, but she didn't think it was necessary.  She talked of how he would be sedated for 1.5 hours.

Also, she said from the CT scan that they didn't even measure what they saw (the cerebellar tonsils dipping into the spinal cord) so she wasn't too concerned about it.  She said even if he does have Chiari malformation that it wouldn't be the type that if we don't do something about now will progress.

Also, she said even if he does have it,  it's not like we would do brain surgery on a 2-year-old, 3-year-old, or even a 5-year-old.

So, what next?  We watch.  If he starts developing occipital headaches, especially after sneezing, coughing, or bowel movement, then come back in.  She did perform a couple of tests on him, which he passed.  :)

We are thanking God for giving us the wisdom to pursue another avenue instead of getting the MRI before seeing the neurosurgeon.  He laid it on my heart to cancel the MRI and try to see a neurologist instead.  It's ALL about Him and not about me, I'm just grateful that I listened to Him, even when I was having doubts and fears.

We may end up having to go down this road again, or it may be a non-issue.  The good Lord knows.  But we feel very at peace with the way things are now.

Thank you for the prayers!!!!  :)

Now, if you could pray for health!!  We are all a little sick, Hailey being the worst with a fever that kept us up most of last night.  She did go to the doctor today though and was tested for strep and the flu, but both came back negative, thank the Lord!  Just a virus, the pediatrician said.  Poor bug-a-loo!
