Grammy Time

I have been waiting all week to post because it has been super busy around here!  See, Grammy, my MIL, flew in on Monday from Colorado.  We have enjoyed spending time with her!  We took her to the zoo on the hottest day of the year!  We went to Gatlinburg.  We visited Norris Dam.  We ate at Big Ed's and Museum of Appalachia.  We took her our church.  We've gotten her sick.  :(  We've gotten manicures and pedicures (girl time!).  We went to our church's Memorial Day cookout.  It has been a very blessed time.

We also had to take Andrew to the pediatrician twice last week.  He went on Wednesday with a fever and was diagnosed with a slight ear infection and put on narrow spectrum antibiotics.  Friday morning when he woke up his fever had gone up to 105, so we brought him back again.  His ears were checked and they were way worse so he was given a shot of Rocephin and changed to a broad spectrum antibiotic.  Praise God, his fever has not come back since the shot.  This is our first baby to have had an ear infection.  He has been a trooper, but of course hasn't been feeling too great.  He is slowly getting back to his old Andrew self.  :)

Here's some pictures from our week!

Playn' Before the Storm

We took the boys down to a new park (well, new to us) in Clinton and got a little walk in and a little play time at the playground before the rain came.
Love the goofy face!

Yah.....and here, too.  Ryan was more interested in posing for the camera than playing (strangeness!)

Well, okay, he still made time to play.....and pose :)

Why, yes, this is the 856th picture I have posted of Andrew riding in the carrier with Daddy!

'80's Pix

Me, my mom, my grandma (weesie), and my great-grandma (grandmommy)

Me and my mama

Sean and I decided that in this picture I look EXACTLY how the boys look when they are sleeping, from the cheeks and lips down to the hand and arm position.  Pretty neat!

Sean and I also decided that Hunter is most certainly my baby!!!  lol  Me and him look a lot alike!

My mama scanned and emailed me some pics for Mother's Day!  :)

Wilderness at the Smokies

Ryan's birthday was April 29th, but we didn't do his birthday trip until this past Wednesday and got back last night because we waited for Sean to finish this semester of school.  We went to Wilderness of the Smokies in Sevierville (right next to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg).  We had gotten a good deal on a room and, well, Ryan loves hotel rooms and waterparks!!!!
Arrived!!!!  Checking out the outdoor waterpark from the hotel lobby.  Outdoor park was closed and it was too rainy and chilly for it anyway.

Bear Hug!!!!

Indoor waterpark

Lunch at the Thirsty Miner before hitting the waterpark

Also, this is where we first realize that something is wrong with Ryan!  His eyes started gooping up and by the end of our time at the waterpark the first day, he was really sick.  We got back to the hotel room and got him some meds for a 102 degree fever.  He was on and off doing good and not so good the whole trip.  We got the fever under control after that first night, but he still was dragging and cranky much of the vacay.

View from our hotel balcony

And this one, too

Dinner here the first night :)

This is at lunch (JT Hannah's) the next day.  He doesn't really know how to wave yet; just a random hand movement.

We went to the aquarium!

And then Mama's Farmhouse for dinner

Yesterday we went back to the waterpark and then to Mexican for lunch and Gatlinburg to walk around and look in some of the shops.  On the way home, we stopped and got hotdogs for the boys and Starbucks for us.  It is Frappy Hour until tomorrow at Starbucks!!!!  Half price frapps from 3-5.  :)  They have a new caramel crunch frapp that is delish!

We also made $100 listening to one of those sales pitch presentations so that was sweet!

We had a blessed trip and we made some great memories and God is good!  Although Ryan was sick, it could have been much, much worse.  We are grateful for the time we got for a little vacation.  :)
