First Dental Appointment!

This is actually right after he got done. I guess I will work backwards!

About to get started with his cleaning!
Ryan did fabulous at the dentist today for his very first time!  He had trouble climbing up on the chair and laid belly down on it and had breakfast all in his teeth (I'm sure the hygeinist loved that!), but he was sooooo good!  He was a little nervous, but didn't cry or complain at all.  He sat very still and let her do the whole cleaning without a fuss.  He didn't really know what to do with the sucker thing that gets the water and gunk out of the mouth.  He got a choice of fluoride flavors and picked strawberry. He got a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a toy (and candy corns when he got home.)  He said after he was done "I feel much better now.  Is it your turn now, mama?"  lol  :)

Oakes Farm

OK, this slide was FAST and FUN!!!!

So I went again, took a different child.

My Aunt Holli

Looking overwhelmed...just too many to choose from!  (Actually just way past nap time and coming down with a cold)

Over a 1000 lb pumpkin!  Our friend Gina had some good cuddle time with Andrew.

In Florida we had a tradition of going to a pumpkin patch every fall and I LOVED our pumpkin patch there. So, I started looking at patches here before we even moved!!!  It's a pretty big deal. I was almost nervous going yesterday because I didn't want to be disappointed.  This one had a lot to live up to!  lol We went to Oakes Farm.  It was a lot of fun and just as good as the one in Florida.  Even better was that my mom was in town from Arizona for the weekend to meet Andrew and see the boys and she came with her sister Holli (my aunt) who lives in Nashville.  Holli hadn't met any of our children before this weekend.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a single picture of my mom.  :'(  Our friend Gina who lives in Knoxville also came and she got to meet Andrew for the first time, as well.  Oakes Farm had a ton of stuff for children to do, a petting zoo, corn maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch, food, etc.  We hope to go back next year.  Oh and it was cold!  Perfect time for hot chocolate.......and cheeseburger and fries.  :)

Fall UTK

Have I ever mentioned how much I absolutely adore fall?  Yah, thought so.  And have I mentioned that this may become an East TN fall leaf blog?  Well, I think it officially is.  :)

Sean has a short day at school on Thursday so we woke the boys up early from nap (smart?) and headed down to campus with him.  All so I could have fun behind the lens AND get a venti salted caramel mocha frapp.  :)  Both were equally awesome.

Ahhhh, fall.

"Daddy Day Out"

Tuesdays are "Daddy Day Out" days, which means Sean picks where he will take our family every Tuesday morning because he doesn't have school until 2.  This particular Tuesday he picked the park in Norris so we could play some soccer, but we forgot the soccer ball!  lol

Fall colors

This blog may officially turn into a fall leaf blog before the season is over. :)

See the cuts on his face?  This is what can happen when you run into a brick mailbox because you are wearing a bucket on your head!!!

Ryan was doing awesome, sitting patiently while I snapped away (doesn't normally happen!), but Hunter was not so interested.

TN Fall Homecoming

Saturday our family went to TN Fall Homecoming.  I had been looking forward to this since May!  We really enjoyed ourselves.  It is at the Museum of Appalachia once a year.  There are arts and crafts, music, food, animals, and a look into what life was like a long time ago for people in this region.  The weather was beautiful and the apple cobbler was delicious!  We also ran into our friends, The Bates Family, and had some sweet fellowship with them and got to hear their family sing.  I took close to 85 pictures, but posted the only ones I kinda liked.

Fall is my favorite season and the leaves here are changing and the weather is getting cooler.  The leaf colors are bursting with red, orange, and yellow.  The reminder of God's goodness and the beauty of His creation surrounds me.

Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. Acts 14:17

Sweet Moment

Not a very good quality picture....taken from cell in a dark room....but had to capture this sweet father/son moment.  Now is the time to enjoy every cuddle moment with this little guy.  We love this stage!!  He is such a cuddlebug and so we take every opportunity we can to just love on him.  He takes los of naps with us and sleeps with us through the night and in the morning while I shower, Sean gets some sleep time with him.  He doesn't like to not be in our arms very much.  He loves being in the carrier.  Not a huge fan of alone time.  That's OK with us.  :)  He is getting heavy though.....10 pounds 14 ounces at the doctor yesterday!
