First Cereal!

Go to Sean's blog to view it!

Aloha Friday...on a Saturday!~

What do you call the "wound" on a child?
Well, I guess a boo-boo.  That's what it was called when I was little.  Not sure if we have said it for Ryan yet.

Happy Halloween!

Thursday (Friday) Thunks

Welcome to the October almost Halloweenth version of Thursday Thunks!
(which we always seem to post on Wednesday)
Where we make you think a little bit before you blog!

We pick a subject, and your job is to interpret it anyway you want.
Write about it on your blog... simple as that.
Maybe you can interpret it as a picture - we don't care! Please only leave a link if you have written a Thursday Thunks post.
Please mention us in your post, and link back to the blog here.Don't forget to go visit the other participants' blogs. Read and comment about all their Thursday Thunks! Thats what all this is about afterall, isn't it? We'll have so much fun and become lifelong friends....
This week we will answer some crazy questions brought to you by Berleen, the color Blood red and the number 31.

1. So Halloween is this weekend, if you haven't heard. Are you gonna open your doors up or not? We will if we're home, but probably won't be home.  Taking Ry ToT'ing around our neighborhood and then to Grandparents house to see them and Dad and maybe Uncle and Aunt's house and then to Harvest Festival with friends at our church.  Should be fun!

2. You better open 'em cuz I'm coming... what are you putting in my treat bag?
Reece's and Kit-Kats (what's left of them any way!)

3. Since October is the bestest month for television (well for cable & dish subscribers it is) and there is a horror movie on at any given time of the day - are you sick of them yet?
Haven't watched any of them, soooo not sick of them!

4. Which one of those movies can you watch over & over again?
So I Married an Axe Murderer!  :)  Spooky huh?!  Used to love horror movies, but have changed my ways and don't really want to watch them anymore.

5. Tell us about a Halloween scare you've had....
Can't recall

6. Did you watch the old Casper cartoons when you were a youngin? Well, back then they weren't old I suppose, but I'm sure you still understand my question.
Never seen, don't think so any way.

7. Have you ever found a four-leaf clover?
Nope, but I have looked.

8. Haunted Houses... you know, the kinds you pay to get in and they chase you with chainsaws and severed heads.... do you like 'em?
Used to, but don't agree with them anymore.........and they would scare the pants off of me now!  I am a BIG chicken.

9. Do you use cute cartoon type wrapping paper for Christmas presents or the not cutesy paper? Or are you one of those gift card and/or gift bag people?
Yes, all of the above.  :)

10. How long do boiled eggs need to stay in the boiling water before they become hard boiled eggs?
I used to know and do it all the time, but now we have an egg cooker so it does it for me!

11. Jason is coming in through your front door... Freddy is coming through your back door... zombies are at every window of the house and Norman Bates is calling to invite you to dinner... what do you do?Roll over and play dead.  :)

12. Did you know that the scariest part of Halloween is giving all of your Reeses Peanut Butter Cups away?
Not if you eat them all first and then don't have any left to give away!

13a. If you were to play a part of a haunted house (not the ghosts in the attic kind), what would you want to be?
I just wouldn't do this.

13b. Have you ever played a part in a haunted house?Didn't I already answer this question?

14. If Thursday Thunks had a Halloween party, what do you think Kimber & Berleen would come dressed as?
Who knows?

15. Do you cook a turkey for Thanksgiving?
My hubby does.  We have taken on the tradition of doing T-Day at our house. This will be the 3rd year.

16. Have you ever read a book that scared the pants off of you?
No.

17. Whats the predicted high temperature for today?
Probably in the 90s, I suspect.

18. Have you ever howled at the moon? That would be interesting, but no.

19.You are in an alley and a werewolf and a vampire are coming at you - one of them has to win. Which one do you want to bite you?  The werewolf, so then I could say "Yes indeed, I HAVE howled at the moon".

Noelle's Thankful Thursday (from Frugal Creativity) - on a Friday! LOL

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

You list 5 things you are thankful for:
1. God - without Him I would be hopeless. I am in love with our Creator and his glorious Grace and forgiveness. He is always here for me.
2. My husband - an AMAZING man, provider, lover of life and our Lord, he is funny, smart and just a joy to be around. I am so in love with him!
3. My son - he makes my hour, my day, my week! Seeing that smile every morning is something I will never take for granted. This love is unexplainable!
4. My friends and family. They are always here for me no matter what and o how I appreciate them. My mother and father mean the world to me.
5. My health - I have been very blessed to never have any really bad illness or injury.

Noelle's Aloha Friday

Where are you from?

That's a difficult question!  I was born in Monroe, Louisiana, lived in Georgia for 13 years, California for 2 years and Florida for 14 years!  I have moved a lot in my life; more than my hubby and he's the military brat!!!!!!

Lenny's

We started off our morning with breakfast at Lenny's.  We were FINALLY able to get in there.  They are always packed and there is a line that wraps around the building usually.  For good reason, their b-fast was AWESOME!  So tasty!  And we got it for free, thanks to the Wachovia refer a friend program.  :)

Let's see

I went to my nursing orientation yesterday.  I left at 8 and got home at 1.  Sean had a half day so he could care for the mister.  Everything went well!!  Happy Daddy and happy baby!!!!  FINALLY!  Ryan resisted the bottle at first, but then got hungry enough for it.  I learned a lot of what nursing school will be like.  I am praying that I get evening classes and evening shift at the hospital that I get my first choice hospital!!!!!  I am also praying that my friend Tiffany and I will have night classes together and work at the same hospital.  We know each other from church and just found out this week that we are in the program together.  How cool is that?  Study buddy!!!!!  I will find out my schedule the first week of November.  Then we can start looking for someone to help out with watching Ryan, too.  If I get the night schedule, it won't be too bad, but if I get days I won't see my little man much and he would have to be with a sitter a lot more.  I have a lot of stuff to get done in preparation for the first day of class, which will be January 11th.  I am really excited and so is Sean!!!!!!!  Hettie Brewner, RN.  I LIKE it!

Ryan first tooth is in a lot more now and he has 2 more buds!!!!

We took him to the carnival last night, see below :).  It is at our church.

I'm psyched for the weather we are getting this weekend.  It is raining today, which is really nice.  AND this weekend, we have lows in the 50s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Highs in the 70s.  Just in time for our day trip tomorrow.  I am super excited for that, too!

COACH

I got a Coach diaper bag for $50 at "A Second Time Around".  I am sooooooo excited!~  It's my Christmas present from my wonderful husband.  They had such great deals!  We also got some other stuff for Ryan, all on the low-low. lol  It's something that happens twice a year.  It's kinda like a big baby stuff garage sale, but at like a convention center.

We had my Dad and Grandparents over for roast last night.  She brought us these flowers......and a box of wine.  hehe  It was a good time, except for our AC decided to go on the fritz, so that was uncool (literally).  I'm witty today, eh!? It decided to work again through the night and has been working all morning, so we will see.

Ryan and I started a new mommy/baby thing at the Dunedin Library.  It's on Mondays at 10 a.m.  Today was our first day and we both really enjoyed it.  :)

Allie knows a fine bag when she sees one!   lol

Sean's blog

Since for some odd reason, my blog deleted the video icon, hence not being able to post videos on here, I have decided to just post videos on Sean's blog.  I tried hard to figure out how to get my icon back, but to no avail.  Soooooo, I posted the videos on facebook, but since mama doesn't have FB, I know she still wants to see her Grandson.  Mommy (and anyone else, of course), head on over to watch Ry on Sean's blog.  :0)  P.S. I tried to send them to you through FB to your email, but not sure it worked.  I know it didn't work when I tried to just attach them from my email to your email and again don't know why!  Silly technology.

Happy 5th Birthday Allie!

I took her to the "barkery" yesterday so she could get a cupcake, ice cream cone, chocolate chip cookie and a bone.  She enjoyed it!  The place, Fluffy Puppies, is really cute.  We even sang happy birthday to her.  hehe :)

Noelle's Aloha Friday

How many kids do you have? How many more do you want?

Well, I think that everyone who reads this blog already knows both answers to these 2 questions!!!!!!!!!!!  But I will answer any way.  Sean and I have one boy, Ryan Nicholas, who is 5 months old (born April 29, 2009).  We want to have as many babies as God will bless us with!!!!!  So, if Ryan is the one and only, then we will be happy with that, but if he wants to bless us with 20 more, 2 more, 10 more, whatever, then we would be happy with that.  Also, if God so wishes, we would adopt.

Our Deciduous Bushes

If you look real close, you will see that hey, indeed, leaves in Florida also change color.  See, see, don't you see???  It may only be like 7 leaves, but I'll take what I can get.

Weekend Review

Ryan graduated and received his very first diploma!  LOL  We finished the 4 week baby signing class on Thursday and he was given a certificate of completion.  I'm so proud.  hee hee

Our weekend was good.  Friday was Capogna's with the family.  Saturday we went to the spray park, watched GA (boo!) lose and went to Harbor Sounds in Safety Harbor.  Sunday we went to church for an absolutely amazing time of worship, fellowship and two awesome guest speakers (one from Kenya who had never been to the US before).  He gave a wonderful testimony about how God healed him physically when he was 12 and also how he was saved him from a lion (yah! a lion!~) and how they walk 3 days just to go to church!  We are spoiled and take things for granted in the U.S.  This was the first time he had seen the ocean and he exclaimed "we have a wow God".  How cute is that!?  I think I cried about 4 times during service.  Any way, after service, I went to Autumn's baby shower and then a bunch of us headed over to her house to help with the nursery.  Well, I didn't help.  They were putting in laminate flooring and painting and doing other "guy things".  Sean helped a lot though.  I chatted, ate pizza and watched the baby.

Ryan has his first tooth coming in and he has been a pretty fussy baby since Saturday.  Poor little guy.  :(

Here are some pics from the spray park and from Harbor Sounds.

Just a bit clumsy

My mom's birthday was October 1st.  Well, she had an interesting day because she ended up with a bruised, bleeding and swollen foot from below her ankle to her pinkie toe and torn ligaments.  She was walking home from work and she slipped on a pebble.  She went to the doc yesterday and they took x-rays so she will find out if anythying is broken on Monday. but she doesn't think so.  She is now laid up at home.  Here's to a speedy recovery mama!!!!!!  And Happy Birthday (again).  :)

Oh and must have been just one of those days for my parents because Dad's moonroof broke and wouldn't close so he had to drive around yesterday with a garbage bag covering the hole.  He so needs a new car!  Ghetto is a word that comes to mind.  LOL

And last, but not least, Ryan has a tooth coming in!  I better watch out....nursing could soon become interesting....er.......painful!

Monthly Two Part Devotional

1.  Always use soft words, even when you don't feel well.
2.  Truthfulness vs deception:  Earning future trust by accurately reporting past facts.  Since you put away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another. (Ephesians 4:25)

I'm the Boss

Really Mom?  Target AGAIN???!!!!

Ryan likes his high chair now, although you may not b able to tell by the expression on his face.  He can sit in it and entertain himself while I eat.  Yay!  Because before he lasted about 2 minutes.  He's growing up!

Side note:  We aew lucky to have such a good pup because apparently after I took Allie out this morning to go potty, I came back inside, but I forgot to bring her in with me???!!!  Yah, good one.  How I managed to leave her out there, I may never know.  Didn't even notice for the next 2 hours that she wasn't in the house.  The only way I knew that she was outside is because I heard her whining at the front door.  Oops.  I am thankful that she didn't get hit by a car, go exploring and get lost, get bit by a dog (for a second time, although it could even out her bad haircut, lol), animal control didn't get her, someone didn't steal her, etc.  I guess I just wasn't awake or something.  :)  Any hoo, she's inside now.  ha!  For sure she is, see pic above, yep she's inside!  lol

Bushs White Chicken Chili

We had a dinner party last night and had 5 of our friends over, who are also youth leaders with us at church, and this is what me and Sean made.  It was very good and everyone else enjoyed it, too, I think, well except for Justin, but he doesn't like beans.  Oopsies!  We doubled the recipe because the one below is for 8 servings.  Good thing we did because there was only a teeny bit left.  Darn, not so much for leftovers.  Ha! It says it only takes 30 minutes to make including prep time, but that was a LIE!  it took us about an hour and a half total and that was 2 of us making it!  We will probably add more spice next time, but we like it HOT and this was not hot at all.  I did put out cheese, sour cream and salsa as optionals to top the chili with, but personally I only used the cheese in my bowl.  :0)  Any way, we had a great time and the food was yummy and I recommend it.  It was very simple to make.  Enjoy!  See our pic below....... and here is the recipe.......
