Michaela's Shower

I wasn't planning to take any pictures of Michaela's bridal shower last Sunday, but I couldn't help but capture and share this game we played.  We had teams and dressed brides in toilet paper wedding dresses.  It was a cute idea and fun to see all our little TP brides!  :)

I shared these photos with my kiddos and Hunter exclaimed when he saw Pastor Bates in the background "that's that man that lives at church!"  LOL

Andrew's 2nd Surgery

Andrew had a successful surgery getting tubes in his ears on Monday and we are so very thankful to the Lord.  He threw up a few times after surgery because of the anesthesia, but after he got that out of his system he was back to normal.  Well, a new normal for him.  It's amazing to see the things that he hears now and comments on that he didn't before.  Things you and I would normally take for granted.  He can hear a cow mooing from afar, our cats meowing in the yard, Daddy whistling two rooms away, a car going down the street.  What a blessing!  He also has been a little fussy because I think he is a little overwhelmed with the volume of noises (especially his siblings lol)!!!!!  And the cutest thing, we overheard him telling Hunter that he "got his new ears today." :)

Smoky Mountain Deer Farm

On Saturday, we continued my birthday celebration, which didn't include as much food, but instead animals!  We went to the Smoky Mountain Deer Farm in Sevierville for the day and packed a picnic lunch.  After that, we headed over to the Tanger Outlet Malls to  use my gift card at Old Navy and then by Starbucks to get my free birthday drink.  I'm still not really wanting Starbucks right now so I just had a few sips and Sean had the rest.
There was the cutest baby goat I got to hold!

OK, I went into the deer pen with a  cup of food and almost got trampled by the deer!  It was a bit overwhelming.  And Andrew had come in there with me, but he kinda got lost in the shuffle of deer and as I was trying to make my escape, I hear Hunter say from the safe side of the fence "mom, you're about to forget Andrew!" lol.  I turned around, because I had forgotten him, and he was standing all alone about in tears!  Poor guy!

Oh, deer!

Much less scary when you don't bring the cup of food in!

And this is all I could get of the camel.  Not very photogenic.  But VERY slobbery, as I experienced feeding this guy!

Didn't feed the emu, heard they're mean.

And the star of the show!  The reason we came all this way!  For Hunter to be up close and personal with his favorite animal!

Andrew hogged holding the food, but really wouldn't actually feed the animals, just threw a few pieces at them here and there.

So, you would think by this picture that Hunter's least favorite animal would be the zebra.  I'm not sure why he was so upset.

zelfie!

And another zelfie!

All in all, a fantastic day!

My Birthday

No, this is not a food post, although it would definitely appear that way, which I guess would be appropriate being 13 weeks pregnant and all!
On Saturday my coworkers made me feel very special by surprising me with a cake and bacon!  Benton's bacon!  It's super delicious!  First time getting bacon as a present and that's not a bad thing!

And here is my Benton's bacon and tomato sandwich yesterday!

And dinner was Shepherd's Pie.  Thank you to my hubby!

And dessert.  Yes, I did pick a flag cake for my birthday cake!  Silly I know, but that's what I was craving.  Thanks again to my hubby for making it!

Andrew's 2nd Surgery

is scheduled for July 20th to have his second set of tubes placed.  At his checkup six weeks ago, his first set of tubes were falling out, which is normal, but the doctor saw fluid behind his eardrums.  We tried Zyrtec to see if that would clear it up, but at his appointment yesterday we found out it didn't.  He has some temporary hearing loss and of course that can affect his speech development so we have to get the little man tubes.  Prayers for our guy are appreciated!  <3

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you had a nice 4th!  We went to Norris Day for a bit and then had some friends over for fun, food, and fireworks.  We didn't make it back to Norris for nighttime fireworks because I was feeling icky, but we really enjoyed our day! Oh and Ryan and Hunter each dunked a policeman and they thought that was hilarious except Ryan thought he might get arrested! lol
