Overlooking Bisbee

This is where my mom and stepdad live.  Of all the times we have visited, I have never taken a picture of the town from 'up high'.  Today is our last day.  We are leaving on an 8 a.m. flight out of Tucson tomorrow a.m. so we are getting up around 4 a.m.  We are showered, packed, and ready to go.  It has been a very nice 2 week visit.  Of course they are supposed to see snow on Thursday!  We didn't get to see any, but we were blessed with nice days to get out and do a lo so that's OK.  :)

Gadsen Hotel

A water fountain!!!!

This hotel was built in the early 1900s.  It is in Douglas, AZ.  It burned down in the 30's, but was rebuilt.  The lobby was really pretty.

Amerind Foundation

So, we arrive to the picnic area to eat lunch and we spot this couch. Really out of place!  So we are taking pictures of it because it's just strange and mom and I are thinking it would make for some interesting photo ops.  Well, there is this other family there and come to find out it is their couch!  They brought it to take pics with.  I think they were doing family photos.  So, they tell us that they just watched us taking pics of it and then me laying on it, modeling for my mom. They took pictures of us taking pictures of it.  Too funny!

Can you spot eyes and a nose?

As the other family was packing up to leave, they asked if we wanted to take pics on the couch.  They were so nice.  We all just thought the whole thing was funny.  But anyhow, they snapped some photos for us!  Notice how big I am and how small Sean is!

On the way home, Ryan kept saying "picture, picture".  As long as it is on his terms, he can be a real ham for the camera.  He will usually say "CHEEZ!",

Christmas Morning

A book about the Sonoran Desert :)

Dr. Seuss (our fave) and an apple!  Kinda funny.....the apple was Ryan's most appreciated gift.  My mom had just sort of put it in his stocking to be silly, but he LOVED it and ate about the whole thing, right dwn to the core.  Hey, it's the little things, right!?  And don't mind the hair!  Our son can wake up with the craziest 'dos!!!!

Grandpa Mike

Sean got a giftcard from Best Buy.  He is starting to save up for a tablet........not the iPad.......he found one that he likes better than that, has more features and is less expensive.....it's called a Galaxy by Samsung.

Told you he really liked the apple!

San Pedro River

YES, there is water in AZ!  Ryan loved playing in it.  It was probably 30 degrees!  Little man also loved running the trails down to the river, but he fell and got stickers all in his hand and he kept holding his hand out and saying "hurt".  Poor baby.  :(

Our Lady of the Sierras

I have seen this cross numerous times on the drive between Sierra Vista and Bisbee.  It is way up on the mountainside and the cross is HUGE.  I have always been in awe of it, but didn't know if I could visit it.  Well, apparently I can and we did!  It was so pretty, peaceful, and just the size of it was amazing.  There was a little chapel up there, too.  I have a lot of pics of the cross, but I just could'nt pick a favorite!  The drive up was paved, so much easier than yesterday.  The little walk up was steep, but manageable.  Ryan loved running around and he was greeting everyone that came up!  Silly goose.  Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
