Plumb - In My Arms

your baby blues
so full of wonder
your curly Qs
your contagious smile
and as i watch
you start to grow and
all I can do is hold you tight

knowing
clouds will rage and
storms will race in
but you will be safe
in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash around
but you will be safe
in my arms

story books are full of fairy tales
of kings and queens and the bluest skies
My heart is torn
just in knowing
you'll someday see
the truth from lies

when the
clouds will rage and

storms will race in
but you will be safe
in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash around
but you will be safe
in my arms

Castles they might crumble
dreams may not come true
but you are never all alone
because I will always
always love you

when the
clouds will rage and
storms will race in
but you will be safe
in my arms
rains will pour down
waves will crash around
but you will be safe
in my arms

I just had to share this song.  Here are the lyrics and a link to the song.  It is so incredibly sweet and gets me a little teary, I have to say.  With Ryan soon to be a 1-year-old, I'm feeling like time has just gone so quickly and already my precious new baby boy is growing into his own little person.  This song is exactly about that......a mother with a new child, and realizing that she won't always be able to protect him.  Her voice is absolutely beautiful.  It's bittersweet.....I thank God every day for another day with my son and I pray for many more (like 1,000 years!)  with him and I'm so thankful to celebrate his first birthday, but at the same time I just am a little sad at the fact that it has already been a year!!!!!!!!   I want to protect him, to shield him from this world, to teach him about the magnificent love God has for him, to show him God's mercy and grace.  Being a mother is just indescribable......joy, pain, love, sadness, excitement, fear.  What a blessing to be given this child.
