Museum Of Appalachia Days of the Pioneer Antiques Fest

My dad came up for a visit Wednesday and will be here until Monday.  The Museum of Appalachia is right up the road from us and they are having a Days of the Pioneer Antiques Festival right now so we decided to take Dad there.  It was a gorgeous today and not too hot.  Sean wasn't able to go because of school, but Dad, the boys, and I had a great time!  I forgot my camera, but had my cellphone :)

Joyful Noise Children's Choir

Our church, Bible Baptist, had a Easter children's program that Ryan and Hunter were in.  Well, Hunter ducked out a little early!!!!  lol  Ryan did great and actually sang!!!!!  He made my mama heart swell and caused teary eyes, too!

It's a little hard to see, so from left to right is:
Courtney Green holding Callie Bates
Josie Bates holding Judson Bates
Alves child
Warden Bates
Isaiah Bates (or it could be the other way around, but I usually get Warden and Isaiah confused!!)
A child I don't know
2 more Alves children (the Alves' are a family! :))  Gee, I'm bad with names!
Ellie Bates
Addee Bates (at least I think its Ellie and Addee and don't mind any misspellings BTW!)
Ryan Brewner
Hunter Brewner for a quick minute!
Katie Bates
Warren child
Jackson Bates
Carlin Bates
and last but not least, Erin Bates on piano
If nothing else is learned from this post, it's that I need to purpose to learn my church family and their names a little bit better!

Emus - these birds make some strange noises

They had 2 tigers

Pony rides, but Ry wouldn't ride

Not a good picture, but a great sign

Braying donkey

Had Sean get a picture of Andrew.  Poor baby gets left out of picture taking because he's usually in the pouch.

And thank goodness I'm usually left out of pictures since I'm the one behind the camera, but Sean took this one and a few others and then said I couldn't delete all of them.  So here ya go babe.  :)

This animal is a new one to me!

And here is a zonkey.  I kind of want one.  I think because I pretty much love the name zonkey.  :)
This is the first weekend in a while where we haven't had plans so we decided to go to the zoo in Clinton (about 20 mins from our house).  It's not a big city zoo, but it was realy neat.  They had all sorts of animals, but it was smaller and not many people, which were all good things.  Only bad thing is they have snakes, but I covered my eyes and walked briskly past that area.  I think we will go back again; we enjoyed it!

God created all the animals Psalm 104

Bronzed Bums

Saturday is family day, but we broke the rules a bit and ran an errand to Sam's Club to stock up on groceries.  We keep thinking that maybe baby will come, but hasn't yet, so we keep getting things done that we won't have to do once baby arrives.  Thursday I was having lots of contractions and during our OB appointment was told I'm 1.5 cm dilated, cervix thinned and forward, baby in birth canal.  Friday.....nada......nothing going on.  Then today, especially when at Sam's or walking a lot, more contractions, but when sitting they seem to subside so still not the real thing. We are being patient, but just excited to meet our little one and just wanna know what day it will be!  Sean and I predict labor day on Labor Day, but who knows.  God knows and His plan is best.  Any way, where was I? So after dinner we got back onto our family day and took the boys to a park/playground and horse racing place?????  There were a whole bunch of trailers in this one area with a little rodeo like place where people were competing for fastest times on horse runs.  I don't know, can't explain it. The park was nice, the playground was nice, and they had pretty trails that we walked.....maybe to help get labor going.  :)

Tried the tool "unsharp mask" in Photoshop with a few of the pics.

Now it's ice cream time and we are also enjoying iced coffees.  :)  And we wait!!  Patiently! C'mon baby!
