Christmas 2014

Christmas Eve, we surprised the children with a trip to the Smokies stadium in Kodak to see the Shamrock Christmas lights show.  They loved it!  Some of them even got to ride a camel, too!  Then, we drove thru the lights at Chilhowee Park in Knoxville.

Today, we have read the birth of Christ, opened gifts, played, played, and played some more, and have not gotten out of our jammies.  My sweetheart is busy making us Christmas dinner since I am still having to rest.  I am looking forward to herb crusted roast beef, shaker bread, buttermilk mashed potatoes, asparagus, and pecan cream cheese pie.  Yum!

I hope everyone is having a blessed Christmas and that you are enjoying time with your family.  It is fun to give gifts and spend time together and eat a delicious Christmas dinner.  However, I feel such a burden on my heart, especially today, of the need to give all of my gifts, all that I have, everything to Jesus.  He needs all of me.  He needs all of you.  And I know we need Him.

Merry Christmas!
