Dunedin Spray Park

Hunter was a little unsure and hung out on the sidelines for most of our outing.

He did decide, however, that venturing over to the little sprayers on the perimeter of the park were OK.  He would go over, play for 5 seconds, and then come back to us...repeat, repeat, repeat :)

Here he was very brave!  At breakfast I had commented that the spray park should be relatively quiet because school is still in and it's a Friday morning.  WRONG!  As we were pulling up (and it was pretty empty) a big.....no make that TWO.....yellow school buses pulled up and let about 60 children off to go play.  I'm talking big kids, too!  It was definitely a little too packed and intimidated our children some, but they still enjoyed themselves.

Ry wanted to go on the slide so badly, but it was always occupied with a line of children.  Sean took him once (and got soaked- not donning a swimsuit!), but then after that he befriended a girl (the one right behind him) that took him on the slide a bunch of times and became his buddy in the spray park.  At times he would lose her and he would come running over asking, "Where's a Lydia?"

Hunter's First Haircut!

Now, Sean is the hairdresser in this household....he cuts his hair and Ryan's hair.  Not mine.  lol  He does a really good job and saves us a lot of money, but I convinced him that for Hunter's first haircut that we could take him to International Mall to go to the special children's haircutting place since we did the same with Ryan for his first haircut.  They are not cheap....$25.00!!!!  BUT, I wanted to make it special.  Well, Hunter didn't think any of it was special!  In fact, he didn't like it a bit, as you can see from the captured moments! Good thing he only had a few hairs in the back that even needed to be trimmed.  lol  He has his Mama's hair.  Thin and fine  Any way, it's done and it's not hanging over his ears anymore and he does look quite handsome.  :)

Our Visit to Orlando

Mr. Matthew

Matthew

Matthew Toes :)

Alex - he was hiding and he made it hard to be photographed

Me and our boys with Nana and new Mommy Amy

And Sean :) Notice how Hunter has Ry's 24+ month sippy.  We just got Hunter off bottles and onto like level 1 sippies, however, he has figured out how to drink Ryan's!

Me and my cousin
We picked up my Grandma and headed over to see my cousin Amy yesterday.  We got to see her house and drop off a ton of baby stuff for her.  Then we went to lunch at Chipolte and headed over to the NICU to visit the twins.  They are really small.  It is hard to picture just how small they are until I saw them in person. But they are beautiful and praise God they really haven't had to overcome any major obstacles.  They are each 2 pounds 9 ounces.  Amy is doing well and is very strong in faith and hope, joy and peace.  We are all excited to see those baby boys grow bigger and bigger and go home to their mommy and daddy!

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

First Shiner!

Ask Ryan what happened to his eye and he will respond "I hit a girl!!"  Not exactly!  lol At church on Wednesday night, the children were playing outside with their teacher and Ryan and another girl were running around and smacked right into each other.  Ryan's eye caught her forehead.  :(

New hats!

Thanks Granpop and Grammy for the new hats!  Wrong team (should be Braves or Rays), but either way the boys look cute!!!  :)

Our littlest one

We had a 23 week ultrasound yesterday.  Baby is doing great (and so is mama).  Baby was busy practicing drinking!  S/he is breech right now, but that's OK.  I picture baby sitting Indian style in my belly!  Thank you Lord for watching over our family.

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You. Psalm 5:11

Joyce Meyer Teaching Points - Life Doesn't Have To Be So Complicated

I missed one of the points, but here are the seven that I did get from her broadcast ministry.

1.  Simplify your life by making God your one thing.
2.  Do one thing at a time and enjoy it.
3.  Learn how to enjoy where you are at on the way to where you are going.
4.  Trust, just trust.
5.  Let go of what lies behind.
6.  Don't make mountains out of mole hills.
7.  Clean out the clutter.....literally.  Organize your household!

I love her teaching.  It is always practical and applicable to daily life and I love how she just tells it like it is.  She is an amazing woman with an amazing testimony and it is awesome to see the way God has worked in her life and continues to do so.  She is such a positive example to so many and she has helped lead countless people to Christ.  She has definitely helped me in my relationship with God.

Park

Excuse my finger!  Ryan has his 3-year-old checkup this morning (830 a.m. early!!!!) and we decided to take them to the park in downtown Dunedin afterwards.  We also got some shrimp from the fish market down there to make shrimp and grits tonight.  YUM!  Ry's appointment went well and he is healthy-praise God. :) He is 38.5 in and 33 pounds!

Save 5% on Purchases at Target

Target REDcard Review – Debit Card With 5% Discounts at Target

by Jason Steele

KEY FEATURES:

Application Can Be Completed In-Store or by Mail. Applicants who apply in-store must provide a voided check. Otherwise, customers can print out and mail in their application.

Direct Debit Features. Charges at Target are deducted directly from the cardholder’s checking account, regardless of bank or financial institution.

Discounts at Target. When using a REDcard, Target customers receive a 5% discount on qualifying purchases. This includes most items, with some exceptions including gift cards, prescription drugs, and medical services.

Free Shipping From Target.com. Cardholders are eligible to receive free shipping for online orders, with no minimum purchase requirement.

No Annual Fee. There is no fee to use this card, though there are returned payment fees that vary based on the state in which the cardholder resides.

Donations to Education. Target makes a donation to education equal to 1% of all REDcard purchases.

Advantages

  1. Great Discounts. For regular Target shoppers, there are many savings to be realized by deducting 5% from all purchase prices. This is a true, immediate discount taken at the register, not cash back that must be claimed at some later date.
  2. Free Shipping. Think of this like the paid Amazon Prime service, but free. However, unlike the Amazon program, there is no guarantee of two-day shipping. Online purchases can even be returned at a physical location, so feel free to buy shoes or clothing to try on at home.
  3. Donations to Education. Target donates 1% of the amount of all REDcard purchases to the K-12 school of your choice.
  4. Extra Savings on Pharmaceutical Purchases. When you fill at least five prescriptions at a Target pharmacy, you receive an extra 5% discount for one day of Target shopping, in addition to your existing 5%.
  5. No Potential for Debt. Many people avoid credit cards, including retail store-issued credit cards, after incurring costly debt. Debit cards are a fantastic alternative, as customers can only spend money that they already have in their accounts.
  6. No Credit Check. No matter your credit history, nearly all applicants with a checking account are approved.
  7. No Fees. There is no need to worry about monthly fees, annual fees, or charges for going below a minimum balance.

Disadvantages

  1. Does Not Work at Target Mobile. Target has a cutting-edge product that offers discounts at the store and online. However, it does not offer a discount at Target Mobile. However, it would not surprise me to see this functionality added in the future.
  2. Not Part of a Payment Network. Since it does not belong to a processing network such as Visa or MasterCard, this card can only be used at Target stores and at Target.com.
  3. Cannot Be Used to Carry a Balance. I personally believe that this is a great feature; however, for those who need to carry a balance from time to time, this card will not be of any use.
  4. Does Not Build Credit. There is no credit check necessary to receive this card, but use of this card will do nothing to improve your credit score.

Final Word

Target is an innovative retailer, offering stylish goods at affordable prices. Likewise, its REDcard is a unique product that offers the ability to make purchases directly from a linked checking account. When you consider the significant 5% discounts and free shipping, it becomes clear that this is a worthwhile product. Considering that there are no costs or fees to use this card, it’s an easy choice for any regular Target customer to obtain the REDcard.
Do you have experience with the Target REDcard? What additional advantages or disadvantages can you report?

Alex and Matthew

Graduate Swimmer!

This was the start of his first day of swim lessons in his new class.  He graduated from the parent-child classes to level 1 where it is him, other students, and his teacher.  He was so upset that he was alone and not with Daddy.  It broke my heart.  I tried to help encourage him to get in and have fun, but he wouldn't so the teacher just said it was OK, they would handle it.  So I went upstairs to the bleachers to watch.  It took all of me not to go rescue him, but I knew I shouldn't.  At first he couldn't spot where we were, but finally he did and so every time he would look up at us we would smile, clap and wave.

Still VERY upset!

Refusing to participate, but turned around now and watching.

And he's in!

And listening to his teacher

And swimming with his teacher and smiling!

And now flirting with the lttle girl next to him.  He was talking away to her and then a little later he took of his shoes, filled them with water, and started pouring the water on her head.  Not a good way to get a date! lol

Telling his teacher something important!
We are very proud of him.  Let's hope tomorrow he remembers that he has fun doing it!
