We just got back from our overnight trip in New Mexico. It was a blast. We left yesterday and first visited Silver City. After that, we went up to Pinos Altos. It is gorgeous up there. Who knew there are tall pine trees and mountains and it's forest-ey in New Mexico! We had a cabin there with 2 bedrooms and a living room, kitchen, 2 stories. It was gorgeous. We ate at the Buckhorn Saloon, which opened in the 1800s and is attached to the Opera House from the same time period. Today, we went to the Gila Cliff Dwellings. We went on a hike and got to go in caves that Indians lived in 900 years ago. We also saw a ton of wildlife. Then we took some very remote, mountainous, scenic filled roads back to Arizona. We stopped in and ate dinner at a real live Cowboy bar (yes, there were cowboys there) and now we are back at Mom and Mike's. It has been great! We have taken lots of pics, but I will have to post those later b/c they are waiting on me to go to open mic night down at a local bar.
